Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide or a representative from Olive Safari Uganda and transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.
This first day is designed to allow you to settle in comfortably before the start of your safari adventure.

After an early breakfast, you will depart Entebbe and journey west toward Kibale National Park, known as the primate capital of the world.
The drive takes you through towns, rural villages, green countryside, tea plantations, and rolling hills, with stops along the way for refreshments and lunch. As you approach the Kibale region, the landscape becomes more lush and forested, setting the tone for the experience ahead.
Upon arrival, you will proceed for your chimpanzee tracking experience. After a briefing by park rangers, you will enter the forest with guides and trackers in search of a habituated chimpanzee group.
The trek moves through the forest as you follow signs and sounds, and once the chimpanzees are found, you will spend time observing them as they feed, groom, and move through the trees. Their energy and social behavior make this a truly engaging encounter.
After the trek, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey south toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
As you travel, the scenery changes from the forested landscapes of Kibale to rolling hills, tea estates, terraced farms, and open valleys. The route offers a beautiful glimpse into Uganda’s countryside and daily life. There will be a stop for lunch along the way, as well as a few breaks to stretch and enjoy the views.
As you approach Bwindi, the landscape becomes more mountainous and covered in dense forest, creating a calm and misty atmosphere.
Arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and relax as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Driving Time: Approx. 6 to 7 hours
Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family and guided through the trekking rules before entering the forest with your ranger team.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its ancient rainforest, mist-covered hills, and rich biodiversity. The trek takes you through dense vegetation and forest trails, with the duration depending on the location of the gorillas.
Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour with the gorilla family, observing them as they feed, rest, groom, and interact. It is a deeply moving and rare experience, often described as the most memorable moment of a visit to Uganda.
After the trek, return to the starting point and transfer back to your lodge. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, allowing you to relax and reflect on this extraordinary encounter.

After breakfast, you will check out and begin your return journey to Entebbe.
As you travel, you will pass through scenic hills, farmlands, local towns, and roadside markets, offering a final glimpse into life in rural Uganda. There will be stops along the way for refreshments and lunch.
Arrive in Entebbe in the evening and check in at your hotel for your final night.

Depending on your flight schedule, you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel and some time at leisure before your transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
